Many people today curse Adam and his Madam, Eve for allowing themselves to be deceived out of the Garden of Eden; a serene environment filled with pleasures and treasures, to be thrown into a life of pressures and treachery which is what is prevalent in our world today.
But contrary to popular opinion, work is not a curse and we work today not as a result of Adam and Eve’s fall from Grace to the rat-race billions around the world are trapped in.
When God created the first man, the first gift He gave him was the gift of Work (Vocation) and it was in the process of fulfilling this command to cultivate and keep the Garden, that he activated the clause to enjoy the pleasures and treasures within Eden (Vacation).
Discovering God’s Personal Purpose for your life is the crucial key that will help you unlock the door to your true potential for greatness, thereby embarking on your personal journey to return to Eden.
Many have jobs that give them a salary but many have not yet found their life’s work which is what truly determines their life’s worth.
There were 4 specific things God said to Adam which every human being can carry out today irrespective of your race, skin color, background or college degree; you can still fulfill the God’s Decree.
- Be fruitful
- Multiply
- Replenish the earth
- Subdue the earth
Questions to ask and answer:
- Does my current job give room for the expression of my innate ability or unique seed? (Be fruitful)
- Am I distributing my real authentic value across many spheres of human existence or am I just existing? (Multiply)
- Am I in consumption mode only or am part of those helping the earth and world become better through the production of my unique value? (Replenish the Earth)
- Am I on the path that leads to becoming the expert or the best in my field or am I climbing very fast to nowhere in particular? (Subdue the earth)
It’s the people who do these 4 things above that enter into a season of dominion that now makes it seem their life is a VACATION away from the struggles of Life. They actually started by locating their life’s Vocation (Purpose), and pursued it actively through the 4 stages I briefly explained above till they returned to the pleasures and treasures that Adam and Eve lost in Eden.
